About Me

My name is Hendri. Yes, just ‘Hendri’, no surname or even middle name. “What a very short name!”, as many friends of mine said. ))

I was born in Pekanbaru, the capital city of Riau province, INDONESIA. I have 3 sisters. They live in Jakarta and Padang.

I finished my elementary school @ SDN 001 Rintis (formerly known as SD Teladan) and junior high schools @ SMPN 1 in Pekanbaru and then continued my high school in Bandung, the capital city of West Java @ SMUN 3.

I graduated from the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) majoring Engineering Physics and got my master degree from the same institute in Instrumentation and Control Program Study (PINK).

After graduated, my thesis supervisor asked me to join his research team (IARG – The Industrial Automation Research Group) for 1 year . My responsibility was to conduct technical training of the industrial automation for industry especially in the area of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human-machine Interface (HMI).

I then worked as Project Engineer at PT. ABB Transmission & Distribution, a multinational company located in Tangerang, Banten (now they have moved their main office to Jakarta) for about 2,5 years.

In mid of 2006 I moved to Badan Operasi Bersama (BOB) PT. Bumi Siak Pusako (BSP) – Pertamina Hulu, an upstream oil company located in Siak, Riau as an Instrument Maintenance Coordinator for Pedada area. On August 1, 2008 I was appointed as electrical & instrumentation team leader for Pedada area.

I got married in August 2006 after 5-years long relationship with her. Finally… ))
